    Teaching methodology

We take the best of the world's most effective learning systems, adding the individual needs and strengths of each student. This allows us to maximize results in an exciting and intense learning experience.
    Steps Method
This methodology was developed in the Netherlands and is used in many countries. It is divided into levels (“steps”), each of which covers key chess topics, ranging from the simplest basics (step 1) to complex strategies and combinations (step 6). Each level includes exercises, games, and theoretical materials.
    Lasker system
Emmanuel Lasker, a world champion, has developed a methodology based on the fact that chess is not only a mathematical game but also a psychological struggle. His methodology teaches how to not only build strong positions, but also to put psychological pressure on the opponent, forcing him to make mistakes.
    Game-based Learning
This method involves hands-on learning through games. Students play with each other or with a coach, and after each game, a detailed analysis of mistakes, opportunities, and strong moves is conducted. Gradually, students learn strategies and tactics in practice
    Three-Phase Method
This methodology divides training into three main parts:
Opening: learning the basic opening patterns and understanding how to enter the middle game with good positions.
Middlegame: focusing on strategy, combinations and tactics in the middle game.
Endgame: studying key endings and methods of realizing an advantage or saving the game in the endgame.

My son has been taking chess lessons at the online school for several months now, and I can't help but share our enthusiasm! He has been fond of chess since childhood, but it is thanks to these lessons that his skills have reached a new level. The teacher is not only a professional, but also very patient, able to find an approach to teenagers, which I really appreciate as a mother. The online format turned out to be very convenient - you don't need to spend a lot of time on the road, and the quality of the lessons remains high. We recommend it to all parents who want their children to spend time beneficially for their personal development.

I am very pleased with your school, where my 13-year-old daughter has been studying for six months. Our love for chess came after watching the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. First, we bought chess, and then, after coming across your school on social media, we began to develop our amateur skills to a more serious level. Thanks to a creative approach to teaching, teachers motivate their students to reach new heights. Classes are interactive and accessible. I periodically sit next to them, watch, listen, and join the game myself))) Sofia has become more confident in her chess moves and logical thinking. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to not only develop comprehensively, but also enjoy learning!

    Famous chess fans

    Madonna
In the video ‘The power of Goodbye’, Madonna plays chess. And she's no stranger to the sport. She has played more than 19,000 games in the Internet Chess Club. The singer's coach was Scottish champion Alan Norris. Chess is not something that collects dust on the shelf in her house. Now they regularly (and very emotionally) play with Madonna's adopted daughters.
    Will Smith
Will was taught to play chess by his father when he was seven years old. He believes that the game illustrates our lives well: we all take steps every day that cannot be undone. One day, the actor's wife Jada Pinkett Smith decided to surprise him on Valentine's Day by inviting Grandmaster Maurice Ashley to his home. Will was so excited that they played for about three hours. Maurice even had to remind the actor that he should spend time with his wife on Valentine's Day.
    Bill Gates
It was Microsoft, run by a businessman, who believed in Magnus Carlsen's potential and became one of his first major sponsors. At that time, the Norwegian was only 13 years old. Carlsen and Gates met at the chessboard on the Scandinavian TV channel NRK in 2014. The current world champion needed only 9 moves to win.
    Woody Harrelson
Woody Harrelson is a great chess expert and fan. In 1999, he even managed to beat the russian player Garry Kasparov. However, the actor was assisted in this match by American grandmaster Yasser Seyravan. The 2016 world championship match between Carlsen and Karjakin began with Woody's symbolic first move.
    Vitali Klitschko
Klitschko is a chess master. The Kyiv mayor is remembered for two chess matches. In one of them, he met 8-year-old Veronika Verenyuk and lost. However, the girl played with the politician in the status of European chess champion. Also in 2012, Klitschko played against Vladimir Kramnik.
    Arnold Schwarzenegger
During the filming of Terminator 3, the actor had a special chess table with two chairs: one with the words ‘Loser’ and the other ‘Winner’ on it. Arnie, of course, sat at the winner's chair. In between night takes, he liked to play chess with his stuntman. According to the actor, the game keeps him focused and keeps him awake. Schwarzenegger regularly participates in the Arnold Classic chess tournament.
    Guy Ritchie
The director constantly plays chess with the actors of his films. On his Instagram, he boasts of his victories over Jason Statham, Robert Downey Jr. and Charlie Hunnam. However, Richie considers himself a poor chess player. This is confirmed by the fact that in the film "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", the director made a gaffe: Holmes checkmates the professor with a bishop, to which he responds with a castling and continues the game, although the rules forbid such a move.
    Rafael Benitez
The Spanish coach calls chess his weakness. According to Benitez, the game taught him to analyse a football match several steps ahead. The main thing for him is not a good game, but a positive result - a victory or a draw. One day, an English journalist asked him to play a little chess on camera for a story. When the cameraman had taken enough shots and the crew was about to leave, Benitez stopped the journalist: ‘Sit back. We need to finish the game.’

    ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

Is it possible to start studying with a 0 level of knowledge?

Of course you can and even should! We will find you a teacher who specialises in working with beginners to teach you as effectively as possible

Can some ‘just a chess player with a rating or a CMS’ teach me how to play chess well?

Yes, it can. Many chess grandmasters had CMSs as coaches, and some had a simple rating, but they were talented in their ability to effectively pass on their knowledge. The skill of a coach is not in his rank, but in his teaching technique

What age is the course suitable for?

From the age of 5. Chess is good for everyone. Based on your age and current level, we will select the best teacher for you to make your training as high-quality and interesting as possible

How much time do I need to spend on my lessons?

It all depends on your desire. One lesson takes approximately 60 minutes. You can choose the number of lessons and their schedule

What guarantees do you give to your students?

If something happens or the training doesn’t suit you, and you’ve already paid, we’ll refund the amount for the number of unconducted lessons according to the formula (payment amount – number of lessons * cost of 1 lesson). For example, you paid for 12 personal lessons of 45 minutes each (4800 UAH), but only 2 lessons were held, and you can’t or don’t want to continue. In this case, we will refund you (4800 – 475*2 = 3850 UAH).

    Isn't it expensive?

No, our prices are below the market average. And much cheaper than offline classes

    Can I change my teacher?

Yes, you can. If you are not happy with your current teacher for some reason, you can let us know what it is. And we will discuss whether we can solve your current problem or simply choose a new teacher with you

Is it possible to get a discount?

You can bring a friend and get a free lesson for yourself and your friend
